The Mobile Library

Libraries are dying off.

With limited opening hours, people don’t have the time to visit anymore.

Thousands of books sit there every year, collecting dust.

With people not going to the library anymore; the British Library brings your local library to you.

This is an initiative by the British Library to help encourage people to borrow books from their local libraries again.

The Mobile Library will offer a book delivery service to readers in the area.

The service is accessed via The Mobile Library app. Here, readers can see what their library offers and browse the shelves. It is a place to connect virtually to other readers and brings both the library and a reading community into the 21st century.
